Jean-Bernard PROUVEZ

partner lawyer

A lawyer to the Lyon Bar since 1997, Jean-Bernard Prouvez is currently enrolled on the International Executive MBA programme at HEC PARIS, (2019-2021 intake)

As the holder of a degree in language and communication sciences, and a graduate of Sciences Po Lyon’s politics and communication section, he has a Master’s in public law and a postgraduate diploma in EU law issued by Jean MOULIN, LYON III University

He has undertaken a programme of study at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and works in both English and French

A lawyer since 1997, Jean-Bernard Prouvez has helped numerous public organisations to manage their activities and their personnel, providing legal support to enable them to respond to the need to modernise and update their skills and operating methods. His decision to attend the HEC resulted in particular from his interest in public-private partnerships in the health field and the corporate world in general, using law as a strategic tool.

Jean-Bernard Prouvez initially developed his activities chiefly for the benefit of companies and organisations involved in public law, meeting their needs which, by their very nature, were necessarily varied.

In doing so he supports public establishments and their staff in criminal and disciplinary matters and the organisation of public services while maintaining his skills in general administrative law with a particular interest in the human resources and strategic management aspects of services and projects.

His criminal law activities are carried out for the benefit of private companies, and their managers in technical fields (criminal law for businesses, criminal law related to the environment and urban planning, criminal law in the medical sector).

His considerable involvement in the health sector has now led him to become involved in the field of public-private partnerships and to handle strategic support for private organisations.

Jean-Bernard Prouvez has been involved as a higher education supervisor in Law since 1994, currently in Public Law and Health Law, on both initial training and ongoing training courses:

  • At the faculty of Law at Jean Moulin Lyon III University and the faculty of Medicine, Claude Bernard LYON I.
  • He works with current or future professionals at the Ecole Régionale des Avocats Rhône Alpes (EDARA), at the LYON I Faculty of Medicine and the VINATIER regional institute for the training of executive health staff.
  • He is also involved in learned societies in the medical world, which he assists with the drafting of their standards
